Derivation
of Rydberg Constant: a demo program from the Atomic
Orbitals CD . An interactive
tutorial showing you a step-by-step the derivation of Rydberg constant;
with hypertext and animation. (screen

Electron Distribution
of 2s orbital: a demo program from the Atomic
Orbitals CD . You can
cut a slicing plane (as XY, YZ, and XZ planes) through the 2s orbital to
reveal its electron distribution. The 3D models and images are scientifically
accurate. 2s orbital has one node. You will find the node easily in this
program. (screen

Shape of 4dx2-y2
Wave Function: a demo program from the Atomic
Orbitals CD . You can
rotate interactively a 4dx2-y2. You can also cut a center plane (XY, YZ,
and XZ planes). The 3D models and images are scientifically accurate. (screen
shot 36k)
-
For Mac: Click
here to download the binhexed archive wavefunc.HQX (2.3M).
-
For Windows: Click
here to download the pkzip archive wavefunc.ZIP (1.8M).

Size of 3dz2
Orbital: a demo program from the Atomic
Orbitals CD . You can
drag a slider bar to vary the isosurfaces between 30% and 90% of the 3dz2
orbital. The 3D models and images are scientifically accurate. (screen
shot 35k)
-
For Mac: Click

Stereochemistry
Exercise version 1.1: an interactive multimedia exercise and
tutorial. You can rotate an alanine molecule interactively to examine its
chiral center. Detailed, animated explanation will be given to the wrong
answers. (screen
shot 128k)

Linear Regression
Graphing Pad: A handy electronic graphing paper. Spot multiple
data points on the graph, and it will give you a linear regression line.
(screen
shot 5k)
-
For Mac: Click
here to download the binhexed archive lineareg.HQX (716K).
-
For Windows: Click
here to download the pkzip archive lineareg.ZIP (620K).
-
On-line
version: Shockwave for Director format. You can create the linear regression plots on-line without downloading the program, but you need Netscape 3.0+ or Internet Explorer 3.0+ and the Shockwave
Plug-in/ActiveX.

Periodic TableTris!:
An exercise (or you may call it a game) is designed to enhance your memory of the Periodic Table elements in the Tetris game style.
-
For Mac: Click
here to download the binhexed archive ptable.HQX (1.0M).
-
For Windows: Click
here to download the pkzip archive ptable.ZIP (813K).
-
On-line version: Shockwave for Director format. You can play the Periodic TableTris in-line (29k) without downloading the program, but you need Netscape 3.0+ or Internet Explorer 3.0+ and the Shockwave Plug-in/ActiveX.
If you need help on downloading or are confused about all the .HQX,
and .ZIP file formats, an
